Brian Schrader, BIA eDiscovery Services

Bio Summary

Brian has over 20 years of experience in information management, computer technology and the law, and he has been a pioneer in computer forensics and eDiscovery. In 2002, Brian combined his experience in business and technology to launch BIA – recognized today as one of the nation’s leading eDiscovery service provider. Brian also helped pioneer the industry’s first light-touch live data collection tool, DiscoveryBOT, for safe and ultra-secure collection of electronically stored information, and TotalDiscovery, widely recognized as the first end-to-end enterprise SaaS platform for eDiscovery. 

During law school, Brian gained invaluable experience working under Justice Charles Ramos of the New York State Supreme Court Commercial Division and with the New York Stock Exchange Enforcement Division. At Folkenflik & McGerity, a boutique Manhattan firm, Brian specialized in securities law, corporate law and complex litigation. He has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as before the NASD, the New York Stock Exchange and the American Arbitration Association. In 1990, he founded and operated a consulting company, helping clients design and implement information management systems in a variety of industries including health care, insurance, and securities.

Since founding BIA, he has taught and consulted on a variety of topics including computer forensics, data management policies, litigation holds and ethics. Because of his focus on people and on constantly learning, Brian has inspired a strong company culture at BIA of constant innovation, collaboration and superb customer service.
