Lisa Prowse joined BIA in 2008 as a document review manager and is currently the senior vice president of litigation technology and managed review. Her focus is on constant improvement in processes, workflows and the technologies she chooses for clients and coworkers.
Lisa has more than 30 years of experience in litigation technology and managed review. Prior to joining BIA, Lisa practiced law at Miller Canfield, Kelley Law and Special Counsel for several years before specializing in managed review. She worked as a SQL Database Administrator prior to and during law school, so the move to eDiscovery was a natural fit.
Lisa is a Relativity certified expert and holds multiple certifications including Relativity certified administrator, RelativityOne certified pro and several others. Lisa is also certified in Brainspace analytics. Lisa was one of the first people to obtain CEDS (Certified Electronic Discovery Specialist) and she also completed the Electronic Discovery Institute’s (EDI) certification program.
Lisa attended Ohio State University, Western Michigan University and Thomas Cooley Law School, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She loves databases, horror movies, dogs and kids – generally in that order.
A word from Lisa…“When I started at BIA years ago, I was so excited that I’d found a company that valued quality legal services as much as I did. One of my first projects was to set up the permanent, full-time document review team, and to get the document review process ISO certified. Nobody else in the industry had done so, and it seemed like being able to document and reproduce the process would make the document review team (and their reviews) very consistent and accurate – and it did.”
